Yesterdays you probably got across a thing called the Music Industry DataBase or MIDB.

As the introduction video says it will be a place where music professionals will have their ‘respective listing of their achievements’. Ultimately the website, the community, should bring professionals together. A handy tool for freelancers (all sorts, think of live entertainment professionals for instance) that seek hand-on jobs. On the other hand, it will be good for big musical projects planners acquiring new hands for their upcoming production. Forget social, this is business!

What confused me was the second part of the introduction video. It seems like their is a on-line TV channel lp33.tv which will offer the MIDB service + additional tools like video editing and widget building.

yeah!: if MIDB gets big organisations to use this feature, it will rock and roll.
noooo!: music business is about knowing people. Lots of free lancers already know people or get to know them through real life (that is, face to face verbal communication and shaking hands). And what does lp33.tv has to do with this all again?
